So America played England in soccer Saturday morning in the World Cup, and it was definitely enjoyable to watch.  We technically should have lost, but with the fluke miss by Nick Green?, we ended up tieing.  From what I'm hearing, a tie is basically a victory for us since we were supposed to lose that game.  Now comes the next two games against Algeria and Slovenia.  We should win those games but who knows.

About five minutes ago I got done doing something very enjoyable.  That is sitting on my porch at night, drinking a beer, and just relaxing.  It's an amazing feeling just to do nothing.  Definitely a benefit to being a teacher.  The amazing Arizona weather at night helps as well.

My spanish is coming along very well and I'm getting very good at putting sentences together.  It definitely takes a while to learn though.  Hopefully I can get some people to start speaking it more with here soon to practice.

I have about 5 songs I would feel fairly comfortable with playing in front of people now for my music.  It's definitely the best stuff I have a written and hopefully I can have a side job playing some gigs and make some money.

Well Friday was my 25th birthday and I'm feeling old!  But I once again have to remind myself that people would die to be my age again.

It was a unique birthday but it was still good.  I had to teach, which was fun because the students do a lot of fun things to make you feel good, such as getting me a bnch of mountain dew and a giant card with signatures on it from a lot of the students saying happy birthday.  Once school was over, I helped set up the middle school dance and chaperone it.  It was fun, especially since it was 80's theme.  I wore a 1980's Rolling Stones tour shirt, a headband, rolled my jeans at the bottom, and wore some athletic shoes with neon shoe laces.  It was a lot of fun, and even more so for the students which was the most important thing.  Afterwards my colleagues took me out for a drink and appetizers which was great.

Overall though, there is a week and a half left of teaching and two weeks left of school until summer vacation.  I will be nice to have a break for a while and recharge for the next year to begin!

So I tried bloggin on another site and I just didn't feel it.  So I decided I'm going to come back to this blog.  I seem to blog in phases.  My latest phase lasted for about a year and half.  Let's see if I can go that long again.
